May 08 (LBO) – Kobian Technologies tied up with Intel on Monday to launch a new tech platform that offers a leap in performance and graphics for mobile computers.
Based on the The IntelÂ® CentrinoÂ® Duo mobile technology, users can see a 70 percent gain in performance and 28 percent gain in power usage over current systems.
It also improves battery life, smaller form factors for laptops and offers more flexible wireless connectivity options.
œIntel is committed to working with local players such as Kobian to enable them to capitalize on the shift to new technologies such as mobility, Mooly Eden, Vice President and General Manager for Intel Mobile Platforms Group said in a statement.
œKobian is important to extending our presence in emerging markets.
Intel has been working with top component suppliers to develop common notebook components, also called Common Building Blocks (CBB).
These common components allow interchangeable notebook ingredients across seven categories – : hard disk drive, optical drive, LCD panel, battery pack, customizable notebook panel, power adapters and keyboards.
