July 16, 2014 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Commercial Bank of Ceylon said Sivakrishnarajah Renganathan, the Bank’s Deputy General Manager Personal Banking has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director. The appointment takes effect on July 17.
He has been with Commercial Bank for 34 years.
In July 2003, he was appointed country manager Bangladesh, after de led the acquisition of a Credit Agricole Indosuez unit there.
Renganathan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (FCMA), Fellow of the IFS School of Finance, UK (Fifs) and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka (FIB).
He is also an associate member of Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
He has been a Member of the General Council of the Institute of Bankers of Bangladesh and founder President of the Sri Lanka Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
