Oct 20, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe on Tuesday said the government is tabling the Udalagma and Paranagama Commission Reports before Parliament.
These commissions were appointed in 2006 and 2013 to probe several murder incidents and missing persons during the war.
The Commission appointed in 2006 was named as Udalagama Commission while the 2013 Commission was named as Maxwell Paranagama Commission.
16 murder incidents were probed under the first Presidential Commission chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge Nissanka Udalagama.
Apart from these commissions the resolution adopted at the United Nations Human Rights Council has also been tabled in Parliament.
