Appointment

Aug 15, 2013 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's EAP Holdings said award Prasanna Vithanage, an award winning film and theatre director has been appointed as an independent director to board of its media and entertainment division. EAP Media and Entertainment division runs terrestrial television stations Swarnavahini and ETV; Shree FM, E FM and Run FM radio channels and includes EAP Films and Theatres.

It also operates the Savoy 3D Theatre, Liberty, Cinmax, Excel, Wilmax and Concord Cinemas.

Vithanage had started his career spanning 30 years in 1986, in theatre and drama before moving to film.

His critically acclaimed films including 'Sisila Gini Ganee, 'Anantha Rathriya', 'Pawuru Walalu', 'Purahanda Kaluwara' and 'Ira Madiyama' have won local and international awards in addition to being box office successes.
