The Bank of Ceylon, Leader in the Sri Lankan Banking Industry has set a bench mark of dispensing a record breaking Rs.30.72 Billion from its ATMs during Avurudu season.

The Bank has made every possible arrangement to provide the utmost convenient and easy access to cash for its customers during this festive season. Bank has installed over 50 Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) covering the entire country enabling BOC customers to deposit money into their accounts on real time 24 hours a day and accepted highest ever Rs.4.8 Billion worth of cash during the same period through CDMs.
The BOC ATMs dispensed Rs.4.48 Billion on April 8th 2016, which was also the highest ever amount dispensed by a bank through any ATM network on this day in the country. From 7th to 12th April BOC ATMs have dispensed over Rs.2 billion each day.

Our account base alone runs over 11 million and we have touched the lives of much more Sri Lankans in many different ways. As a part of the Banks national responsibility BOC has widened its ATM and CDM network along with our mission to digitally transform banking landscape for the whole country” stated the Deputy General Manager-Product and Development Banking, Mr. Senarath Bandara.
The Bank has enabled all users to withdraw up to Rs. 100,000/- per day 24 X 7 through an ATM without any prior arrangement. Customers could however set higher withdrawal limits above that with the prior arrangement with the bank.The 54 Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) that are located islandwide where customers could obtain real-time (instantly) credit to their accounts. Customers can also deposit money to their accounts without filling any deposit slip. A maximum of 200 notes per transaction could be placed on the machine without having to feed cash notes to the machine one-by-one. The machine will issue a brief-receipt with the recipient’s account number, name and amount deposited to the depositor as a proof of deposit. The Bank of Ceylon hopes to extend this facility further within the country encouraging customers to use digital channels at their convenience for cash withdrawals as well as for cash deposits into their accounts.
