Nations Trust Bank (NTB) entered into an exclusive agreement with the American Express Bank to re-launch the American Express Card (AMEX) in Sri Lankan rupees. AMEX was earlier available in Sri Lanka in dollar denominated cards.rn
rnThe Independent Operator agreement signed today, requires NTB to service AMEX cardholders, service local merchants who accept AMEX and sign up new merchant locations in the country.rn
rnThe two parties will initially start off the innings, by launching two products endash the AMEX green and AMEX gold credit card. Each card comes packed with a host of loyalty benefits linked to NEXUS card, travel accident insurance, travel inconvenience insurance and personal financial services.
