Mar 24, 2014 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's HSBC said it was giving a boost to fashion retailing with 30 top retailers giving credit card discounts and a 'fashion hawker street' ahead of upcoming traditional New Year holidays. The 'HSBC Fashion Festival' kicks off on March 24 with starting with retailers Arugambay, Abstract, Brands Warehouse, Brands Boutique, Hameedia, TFO and United Colors of Benetton, HSBC said.

"We see fashion to be a growing lifestyle trend among the upper & middle segment in Sri Lanka," Nilantha Bastian Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC said.

"We envisage HSBC Fashion Festival will provide the opportunity for more customers to be part of this growing trend by purchasing the latest designs and accessories with their credit card."

From March 31 the focus will be on watches, shades/eye wear, fitness wear, resort wear and hair care with retailers Adidas, Arugambay, Abstract, Azmaara Spa, Ariyanna Spa, Tag Heuer and Raymond Weil by CJS , Crocodile and DSI.

Also joining will be Eric Rajapakse Opticians, Estheti Centre, FILA, Leather Collection, Baume & Mercier, Mont Blanc & 88 ru du rhone, PUMA, Ramani Fernando Salons, The Parfumerie, Paris Gallery, United Colours of B
