May 15, 2013 (LBO) - International and local experts will discuss the future of e-ecommerce which is now growing very fast in the Asia-Pacific region with growing internet penetration and legal reforms that help internet transactions, at a forum in Colombo. Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies said a 'CXO Briefing' on May 16 will feature Jim O’ Connor an ex director of product management who is now senior vice president of Leapset, a US based firm that has development operations in the island.

Leapset makes technology for restaurants to sell goods online including through mobile phones as well as manage their internal operations, and the product is now being sold in the US.

The event will be held at the Dialog Future Auditorium at 6.30pm.

Llavan Fernando, chief executive of Zone 24/7, Paul Freemantle chief technology officer of WSO2, Dulith Herath chief executive officer of Kapruka and Jana Levene from emerging market development atGoogle South East Asia, will be on the on an expert panel.

The event will be moderated by Sanath Fernando, chief executive of Ridgecrest.
