A four-member team from Sri Lanka Insurance Corp.s technical partner ING, started work this week to give the former state insurance giant a facelift.
The team will initially give tech support for re-insurance, product development, actuarial services and IT, SLIC Director Damien Fernando told Lanka Business Online.rn

rnHowever, work on installing a much-needed IT system will get off the ground, once a vendor is selected. Fernando says six firms have been shortlisted and they would pick a winner next month. rn
rnMeanwhile, SLIC is working hard to link its 78 branches with its head office. So far, 48 branches have been linked and work is on track
