RCI, a vacation ownership exchange is setting up shop here to promote the island as a holiday destination to its membership.
The exchange allows members to trade their pre-booked holiday retreats or time-share holidays in an RCI affiliated resort for a week or more in other affiliated facilities around the world. rn
rnRCI says it has an affiliated resort in Hambantota, which will be promoted initially, while talks with other holiday facilities continue. rn
rnThe company release did not disclose details of the local affiliate, but said further details would be available later in the week.rn
rnThe release said: "RCI intends to direct vacation ownership member traffic to Sri Lanka and help more of its discerning members discover the varied attractions of this island country."rn
