“I worked for the private sector for 33 years in higher positions. Then I was invited by Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe to enter politics,” “After serving a few years as a politician I was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank.” Cabraal said. Cabraal stated that he has received a number of invitations from the private sector to join them. “I know both the private and the public sector. So I think I can work for another few years in the public sector. If not I can work for the private sector,” he said. The former Governor also revealed his contacts with international investors. “I’m well aware about this country. The international community has faith in me. International investors know who Ajith Nivard Cabraal is,” “When Central Bank issus bonds, I had the ability to contact those international investors with just one call,” “So I can use that capacity on behalf of Sri Lanka. If I get a chance I’ll do that.” Cabraal stated. During the interview Cabraal expressed concerns over the current status of the economy and the controversial bond issue. “The bond scam is the biggest ever loss and it has created 55 billion rupees of loss to the public due to the unwarranted increase in interest rates.” he said. Cabraal also invited Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe for a debate over the economy.

Thank you but not thank you, you have earned and robbed enough. Please stay at home. And also please let us know how the nation has lost Rs55bn already on this local bond issue? You’re accounting skills seem to be off, looks like you are not even a good accountant.
