Jaffna Investor Forum by SEC, CSE gets good response

Aug 28, 2017 (LBO) - The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) said they conducted the third Investor Forum in Jaffna last week at the Tilko Jaffna City Hotel.

"The Forum generated an overwhelming response with the participation of over 250 existing/potential investors, professionals and the business community," a statement said. The forum featured presentations by M Ganeshamoorthy, Senior Lecturer Department of Economics, University of Colombo and R Raguram, Research Analyst NDB Securities (Pvt) Ltd. A panel comprising Tushara Jayaratne, Director, External Relations and Surveillance SEC, M Thileepan, Manager, Jaffna Branch CSE, and speakers subsequently responded to audience questions. Stock Brokers and Unit Trust Management Companies too were represented at the forum. The next in the series will be held in Kandy on 9th September, and in Galle on 30th September.
