Japan to feed Sri Lanka’s war zone school kids

Sept 28, 2012 (LBO) - Japan will provide 120 million yen (180 million rupees) through the World Food program to provide meal at school to children in the former war zones in the north of Sri Lanka.

The embassy said a handing over of a consignment of the canned fish took place on September 27, in a ceremony attended by economic development minister Basil Rajapaksa, Japan's ambassador to Colombo Nobuhito Hobo and Mads Lofvall from the WFP.
