A top Malaysian business tycoon, Tan Sri Gnanalingam is keen to invest in and manage BOI free trade zones while also tapping potential of the leisure sector.
The chairman of the 11 largest port in the world, Westport in Malaysia says, they could also look at investments in the Colombo port once private sector investors are sought.

rnExport processing zones are slated for privatization under restructuring plans of the BOI and the Westport Chairman says that his associate companies could be interested in these.rn

rnTan Sri Gnanalingams grandfather was from northern Sri Lanka. His company Westport and its associates are interested in investing and managing some of the export processing zones.

rnBut his core strength lies in port management an area the company is keen to seek opportunities in.rn
