M. Mahinda Siriwardana, Director General of Department of Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance and Planning has been appointed non-executive director with immediate effect.
Siriwardana is involved in activities related to tax policy, government revenue and overall macro-fiscal management in the Department of Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance and Planning, the bank said in a media release.
He is also involved in coordinating with public, private and international agencies, including the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and International Rating Agencies, on matters relating to fiscal policy as well as overall macroeconomy.
A career Central Banker with over 20 years of experience, Siriwardana previously served as an Additional Director of the Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
He has also served on many Boards, including that of the Bank of Ceylon (BOC), and at present serves on the Board of Directors of the Export Development Board (EDB), Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation (SLECIC) and Hotel Developers (Lanka) PLC (Hilton Colombo).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Economics from the Univers
