New Chief Justice, Act Attorney General, Auditor General and Act IGP appointed

Apr 29, 2019 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena appointed, Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya as new Chief Justice.

Jayasuriya took oaths for the new appointment before the President at the President’s Office, Monday. The President appointed Solicitor General Dappula De Livera as Acting Attorney General. Furthermore, Additional Auditor General, Chulantha Wickremarathne has been appointed as Auditor General. In addition to these appointments, Senior Deputy Inspector General C D Wickramaratne as Acting Inspector General of Police and former IGP, N K Ilangakoon as an Advisor to the Ministry of Defence. They received their Letters of appointment from the President today.
