Apr 10, 2019 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's Finance Ministry on Wednesday said that the fuel prices will not be increased this time in order to provide relief to the public during the festive season, despite rising fuel prices in the international market.

The price of a barrel of crude oil that sold at 67 US dollars in March is now selling at 74 dollars a barrel in the international market, continuing its uptrend.
The government, however, has decided not to increase the price of fuel for the purpose of giving relief to people during the festive season.
