Dec 15, 2012 (LBO) – Sri lanka’s Information technology and outsourcing firms are holding an ‘open day’ on December 20 in Colombo targeting expatriate Sri Lankans who have returned to the country for the holiday season. “Many Sri Lankan IT/BPO and Knowledge Services Industry companies are looking for seasoned well experienced professionals abroad to return home and help expand their operations,” SLASSCOM, the IT/BPO industry chamber said in a statement.

“A T Kearney identifies Sri Lanka as a ˜hidden gem’ for outsourcing. The country has now moved up to 79th in the Forbes list of best countries for business.” The industry open house which is a free networking event is from 5.00 to 7.00 pm on Thursday December 20, at the Bay Leaf in Gregory’s Road, just before the SLASSCOM annual holiday party which is a paid for event, the chamber said.
