Nov 24, 2016 (LBO) – National Development Bank announced the appointment of P L D Neomal Seneviratne as the Chief Executive Officer/Director of the bank with effect from 1st January 2017.
Seneviratne counts more than 26 years of experience in the Banking industry, of which the last 3 years were with Pan Asia Bank where he functioned as Director/CEO.
Neomal Seneviratne has tendered his resignation from the Pan Asia Bank with effect from 31st December 2016.
NDB said his appointment to the bank has been approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Seneviratne who holds a MBA, currently functions as a Director of Lanka Clear and as a Director of the Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka.
With the resignation of Rajendra Theagarajah with effect from 30th November 2016, Buwaneka Perera - Vice President of Corporate Banking was appointed as the acting CEO effective from 1st December 2016 until Seneviratne assumes duties.
