Only Sri Lanka Telecom presently, charges a termination fee from mobile operators under the present system. rn

rnBetween other operators, its is agreed that the network sending the call, keeps the revenue to cancel off monies due from the network receiving the call endash a system similar to bank cheque clearing.rn

rnThe fresh batch of termination rates were determined after a thorough cost study initiated in end 2002 to tie the tariffs to costs.rn

rnThe recommended structure will be the ceiling tariff, allowing networks and other users to negotiate termination rates. rn
