July 15, 2013 (LBO) – Sri Lanka™s Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), provider of management education said it will conduct a short course on public policy for business leaders, academics, researchers and government officials.

The closing date for registration is July 15 and the program has openings for only 40 participants, who will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will be meant principally for business leaders, CEO™s and heads of divisions/departments as well as senior managers with at least 8 years experience, Lloyd Fernando, program director - Public Policy, Postgraduate Institute of Management said in a statement.

Senior executives of government regulatory authorities such as the Board of Investment, Export Development Board and the Central Bank, as well as Development Banks will be encouraged to participate.

The three month course will consist of six separate modules and commence on July 25.

Some of the areas of study that will be included are Foundations of Public Policy, Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy and Trade and Balance of Payments Policy, Strategic Planning and Current Developments in the International Investment Environment.
