Aug 10, 2020 (LBO) – Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to step down as the leader of the United National Party, General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
Kariyawasam said his name as well as the names of Ravi Karunanayake, Vajira Abeywardena, and Daya Gamage were nominated for the leadership.
