Aug 06, 2012 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's unit of Randstad, a global recruiting and HR consultancy group is working on an awards scheme to select the best employers in the island, a top executive said. "Our understanding of the overall employment market and particular sectors, who your competitors are, where talent is likely to be and our ability to winkle out that talent and attract them in your role are some of the value additions we bring to the recruitment process," he said.

Randstad says the awards will be based on research done by an independent agency.

"We will measure perception of potential job seekers from 18-years-old to retirement age and offer those services to the top 100 employers in Sri Lanka to enable them measure themselves in terms of how well they are perceived by their potential employees," Wilkinson said.

Randstad is believed to be the only multinational HR service firm operating in Sri Lanka.

The company says their biggest customers are telecom and IT firms. "We will be investing next year in the 'Randstad Awards' to select the best employers in an economy," Brian Wilkinson, Executive board member of Randstad holdings said.
