Ritz-Carlton Residence and Hotel Tower reaches 30th floor

Jun 17, 2019 (LBO) - Keeping its promise to its client’s and stakeholders, developers of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residence, Colombo, The One Transworks Square Ltd. announced that the 30th floor of the 80-floor tower is now completed as per the schedule.  

The ultra-luxury tower standing at 326 m will house the hotel brand ‘The Ritz-Carlton Hotel’ at the upper tier and the ‘Ritz-Carlton Residence, Colombo’ at the lower and the mid-tier of the tower.

Complemented by the celebrated The Ritz-Carlton services, the hotel and residences tower’s sophisticated design and luxury hospitality will provide an opulent retreat in an enviable location. Contemporarily designed interiors with soothing colour palette tones, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Colombo will offer two, three and four-bedroom units with square feet ranging from 1,760 square feet to 5, 000 square feet, complemented by views of the city or the panoramic Indian Ocean scenes.“As the Executive Project Manager on this latest construction milestone of The One – Sri Lanka, Tower A, we are extremely pleased that even with the countries recent events we have been able to reach our target of level 30. Constructed by one of the largest state-owned Chinese construction companies Shougang Constructions Group (SGCG), is steadfastly adding floors to the superstructure at a decent pace. “We have adopted state-of-the-art construction methods to this building with the experience we have gained through our large-scale projects to ensure that we deliver uncompromised quality,” noted SGCG Asia Projects Head Zhang Maokui.

Earlier in the year, the developers announced that the interior and façade of the tower was contracted to one of the largest firms in the world, CITIC Groups subsidiary CITIC Construction Company and the MEP contract to Zhejiang Construction Investment Group from China.
