South Korea, Sri Lanka seeks strengthening national defence coop.

A top level delegation headed by the President of the Korea National Defence University (KNDU), Lieutenant General Seung Ho Wee, visited Sri Lanka from October 2nd to 5th. On Monday October 3rd, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the State Minister of Defence Hon. Ruwan Wijewardena and Secretary to the Minister of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarchchi. During the cordial meetings, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of national defence. On Tuesday October 4th, the delegation also held a bilateral meeting with high-ranking officers of the General Sir Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), and a memorandum of understand (MoU) was signed with the aim of further promoting the defence cooperation between the two Universities.
