Dec 28, 2010 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Esna Holdings, a consultancy and advisory services firm, plans to set up a luxury beach resort in Nilaveli, a prime beach front on the island’s east coast, a statement said.

Sri Lanka has seen an influx of tourists after the end of its 30-year ethnic war in May 2009. The project by a subsidiary, Esna Villas, is valued at a million US dollars and marks the group’s diversification into the booming hotel sector, it said.
The property on Nilaveli beach, north of Trincomalee port, has a 144 feet beach frontage.
The company plans to set up an ‘all suite’ boutique hotel on the property with construction already in progress, the statement said.
