Aug 02, 2013 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Dipped Products, a unit of Hayleys group which exports gloves said it hoped to resume production which stopped Wednesday following protests over claims that it was polluting ground water. The firm did not specify a date to resume operations but said it was working towards an “early settlement”.
“Although as a precautionary measure the factory operations were suspended yesterday afternoon, the company hopes to resume operations at the earliest,” the company said.
