Sri Lanka pens four bilateral agreements with India
Mar 13, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s government signed four bilateral agreements with the Indian government in Colombo, Friday to coincide with the Indian premiers visit.
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the island early this morning and was welcomed by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Lanka in 28 years.
He will met and hold talks with President Maithripala Sirisena earlier today.
Modi will also address the Sri Lankan Parliament and visit Jaffna in the north of the island during his three visit.
