Sri Lanka reports another fire at CEB substation

Mar 18, 2016 (LBO) -  A fire has broken out at the Ceylon Electricity Board grid substation in Kotugoda, in the island's Western Province a short while ago, CEB sources told Lanka Business Online. The cause of the fire is yet not known. The fire brigade has been deployed to fight the fire. Power outages have also been reported from the area. The incident took place just a few hours after the two generators in Norochcholai were put back in to operation.

Blowing transformers happen when the supply side is not sufficient, which is the exact situation happened last couple of weeks. Due to pressure from politicians, engineers tend to continue to cover up the demand. It is very sad that politicians create stories to change focus of the people to blame some innocent guys instead of accepting the issue
