Sri Lanka stocks close down 0.08-pct: JKH losses

Sep 18, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lankan stocks closed down 0.08 percent on Friday with low investor activity and losses in John Keells Holding, brokers said.

The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed down 5.64 points at 7,107.87 lower 0.08 percent.

S&P SL20 closed 7.94 points higher at 3,893.02 up 0.20 percent.

Turnover was 529 million rupees, down 658 million rupees Thursday with 64 stocks closing positive against 83 negative.

The main index showed losses in John Keells Holding closing at 172.30 rupees, down 1.00 rupees and Asian Hotels closing at 60.80 rupees, down 2.20 rupees.

Gains were seen in some banking stocks with Commercial Bank closing at 166.00 rupees, up 0.20 rupees and DFCC Bank closing at 183.60 rupees, up 0.60 rupees.
