Sri Lanka stocks close higher at 0.3-pct

Apr 22, 2015 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's stocks closed higher, 0.26 per cent with foreigners becoming net buyers after three consecutive days of net selling, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed 18.53 points higher at 7,117.13, up 0.26 per cent. The S&P SL20 closed 03.81 points higher at 4,029.61, up 0.08 per cent. “Foreign participation accounted for 57 per cent of the day's trading with foreigners becoming net buyers,” Lanka Securities said. Turnover was 1.04 billion rupees up from 683.71 billion rupees, Tuesday with 78 stocks closing positive against 76 negative. In banking stocks, DFCC closed at 217.00 rupees, up 2.00 rupees and Hatton National Bank closing at 228.00 rupees, up 1.00 rupees. Commercial Bank closed at 171.90 rupees, up 0.10 rupees with 2.1 million shares trading at 172.50 rupees. Distilleries closed at 240.20 rupees, up 0.10 rupees with a crossing of 300,000 shares at 240.00 rupees.
 Dialog Axiata closed at 11.60 rupees, down 0.10 rupees while John Keells Holdings closed up at 206.90 rupees, up 0.20 rupees.
