Sri Lanka stocks close lower 0.06-pct

Nov 13, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lankan stocks closed down at 0.06 percent on Friday for a fourth consecutive session with more investor activity and volumes  compared to Thursday with losses in some index heavy stocks, brokers said.

The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed lower 4.54 points at 7,001.81 lower 0.06 percent. S&P SL20 closed 3.66 points lower at 3,787.22 down 0.10 percent.

Turnover was 779 million rupees, up from 579 million rupees on Thursday with 59 stocks closing positive against 83 negative.

The main index showed losses in Nestle Lanka closing at 2,025.90 rupees, down 23.40 rupees and Trans Asia Hotels closed at 81.30 rupees.

Commercial Bank closed at 153.00 rupees, down 1.00 rupees with the stock hitting a 52 week low price of 152.00 rupees and two off the floor trade amounting to 412,000 shares recorded at 152.00 rupees.

Dialog Axiata closed flat at 11.10 rupees with over three off the floor trades recorded amounting to 8.7 million rupees at 11.10 rupees.

Active trading continued in Lanka Hospitals closing at 61.00 rupees, up 2.60 rupees.
