Stocks close up 0.2 pct; JKH makes gains

June 18, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s stocks closed up at 0.2 percent with index heavy John Keells Holdings recording gains, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed 14.44 points higher at 7,064.15 up 0.20 percent. The S&P SL20 closed 9.57 points higher at 3,924.33 up 0.24 percent. Turnover was 566.02 million rupees, down from 2.13 billion rupees Wednesday with 81 stocks closing positive against 66 negative. Conglomerate John Keells Holdings closed at 198.20 rupees, up 3.20 rupees and Nestle Lanka closed at 2,030.00 rupees, up 29.80 rupees. Adam Capital who ventured into micro credit business recently closed at 2.70 rupees, up 10 cents with an off the floor transaction worth 25 million rupees.
