Sri Lanka’s chamber signs a MOU with Chinese Tianjin

Mar 06, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding today with Tianjin province of China to promote trade and investment between both countries. With the visit of two leaders in our countries, we hopes to take bilateral corporation between Sri Lanka and China to the next level through strengthening ties, Li Shengli , Deputy Director of Tianjin Commission of Commerce said Colombo today.

He said the trade between Chinese Tianjin and Sri Lanka expanded 10 percent last year.

There are many opportunities for us to in Sri Lanka. So we encourage bilateral trade and two way investments,

Also we invite Sri Lanka to introduced rubber and tea to the Tianjin market.

Shengli said China is keen on sectors as ICT, power and energy, aerospace, commerce and construction.

More than 28 companies who operates in Tianjin located at Northen China were presented in Colombo today to conduct business to business meeting with Sri Lanka’s enterprises.
