Sri Lanka’s Galle Literary Festival 2012 in final stretch

Dec 09, 2011 (LBO) – The program Sri Lanka’s HSBC Galle Literary Festival 2012 is the last stages of being finalized and tickets will go on sale from January 04, organizers said. The festival runs from January, 18 to 22. Among the writers confirmed to attend are Joanne Trollope, Richard Dawkins, Tom Stoppard, D.B.C Pierre, Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, John Boyne, Aminatta Forna, Romesh Gunasekera and Nayantara Sahgal.

The confirmed programme will be on the site by Decemmber 28 and tickets will go on sale on 4th January 2012 online and at Barefoot in Colombo and Mama’s Rooftop Cafe in Galle, organizers said.

The event branded ‘HSBC Galle Literary Festival 2012’ is headline sponsored by HSBC Bank.

Other sponsors include Cargills (Ceylon)PLC, Range Rover and Colombo Jewellery Stores, Embassies of the Netherlands and Norway, the American Center, British Council, Jetwing Lighthouse Hotels, Amangalla, Printcare, MCN associates, ETV, Wijeya group and B Sharp.
