Sri Lanka’s Hemas Hospitals chain gets new MD

May 13, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Hemas Hospitals said Lakith Peiris has been appointed as the chain’s new Managing Director with effect from 01st of April this year.

He will overlook the three Hemas Hospitals at Wattala, Galle and Thalawathugoda and their 32 laboratories around the country. Peiris had also held the position of CEO of Lanka Hospitals for over seven years. He has more than 19 years of experience in top management at a host of healthcare related multinational corporation’s and Sri Lankan enterprises including B|Braun Asia Pacific, Lifeserv and ConvaTec A Bristol Myers Squibb Company of USA.

Peiris has a Phd in business and management and a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of western Sydney, Australia, the statement said.
