SriLankan Airlines says flights not affected to Doha, Qatar

June 06, 2017 (LBO) – SriLankan Airlines on Tuesday stated that their flights to Qatar are not affected by diplomatic tensions in the region, though the airline is closely monitoring the situation. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates cut ties to Qatar on Monday accusing it of supporting regional terror groups. Hours later, several Gulf airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, Fly Dubai and Gulf Air suspended their flights to Qatar. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways said in a statement that it has suspended all flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt until further notice. The statement further said all customers booked on affected flights will be provided with alternative options, including the option of a full refund on any unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternative Qatar Airways network destination.
