Tokyo Cement recommences importing clinker from Japan

Tokyo Cement Group, the leader in the construction industry, trusted for decades as a supplier of high quality cement announces the recommencement of importing Clinker from Japan. The raw material in cement manufacturing will be for the exclusive use in ‘NIPPON-PRO’, a high-performance cement specially formulated for high risers and super structures. Mr. Dashantha Udawatte, Group Marketing Manager at Tokyo Cement said, “We at Tokyo Cement having identified the demand for a high performance cement tied up with a leading Japanese manufacturer to import Clinker with high specifications.” He further stated that, “Tokyo Cement recently launched the NIPPON-PRO brand to meet the demand of Class 1 contractors who have undertaken challenging construction projects that are part of the Government’s initiative to stimulate economic growth in the country.” Director of Research & Development at Tokyo Cement, Dr. M. G. M. U. Ismail, commenting on the occasion added, “Using Japanese Clinker in the manufacturing process ensures that NIPPON-PRO will be able to meet the high technical specifications recommended for high-rise structures such as, the ability for temperature control required in bulk concreting and suitability for use in high strength concrete grades over 80.” With the decision to use top-grade Clinker imported from Japan, Tokyo Cement demonstrates their ability to deliver superior quality products and lead the construction industry to the next level.
