May 23, 2017 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's Dialog Axiata has entered the pay-per-click market offering Dialog and non-Dialog subscribers the opportunity to earn rewards on a daily basis. A website called Freezone.lk has been launched for this purpose which is a sponsored deal site introduced for the first time in Sri Lanka. The website provides participants the option of filtering sponsored deals by reward type and activity to best select the rewards they want to earn. Accessible from anywhere in the country, users can engage and redeem various rewards through their mobile, computer or tab. According to Dialog, the rewards are mobile broadband data, SMS, top ups, Dialog Television channels, home broadband data, RingIn Tones, Wifi and SMS alerts. To claim these rewards participants have to engage in activities such as watching YouTube videos, clicking a banner, filling in a survey, liking a Facebook page or clicking a link. Pay-per-click advertising is a form of cost-per-action advertising with the action being a click and generally used to refer to paid search marketing with the advertiser paying each time someone clicks on their text or display ad. It is a way of buying visits to a particular web site or a link, rather than attempting to earn those visits organically.
