Crane Arrival

June 17, 2014 (LBO) – Sri Lanka Ports Authority said its new port in Hambantota had received try ship-to-shore gantry cranes and one rubber tyred transfer crane from China.
Magam Ruhunupura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port (MRMRP) is built with Chinese finance.

The cranes were built at Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Company Limited, formerly Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Company (ZMPC).

The cranes came in the vessel MV Zhen Hua 13 on June 17.

The ship-to-shore cranes have a reach of 50 meters and a back reach of 16 meters.
