‘s new president to be sworn today

Jan 09, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s newly elected president Maithripala Sirisena is to be sworn in today (09) evening at 6 pm in Independence Square, Colombo,a media release said. Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapaksa has left Temple Trees following a brief discussion with the opposition leader Ranil Wickramasinghe on Friday morning.

Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe also will take oaths as the prime minister under Sirisena.
