Mar 23, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s President Maithripala Sirisena ordered to suspend the new transfers of police officers with immediate effect, the president office said in a statement.
The statement said that the President has instructed that all police transfers be made under a special three-member committee comprising the President’s Secretary, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Law and Order and the Inspector General of Police.
