‘s Premiership tomorrow
Dec 14, 2018 (LBO) – Mahinda Rajapaksa has decided to resign from the Premiership tomorrow after an address to the nation, Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa said.
In a Twitter message, Namal Rajapaksa said the decision has been taken to ensure the stability of the nation.
He, however, said the SLFP will work to form a broader political coalition with President Sirisena.
After a meeting with the President and SLPP leaders, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said the President will be able to appoint a new Prime Minister who commands the majority of the Parliament as they have decided to sit in the opposition.
