ComBank unveils ‘Prestige’ Banking to empower clients to craft their legacy for growth
New three-tier proposition combines bespoke banking, strategic wealth management, expert advisory, refined lifestyle privileges and enriching rewards
The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has reaffirmed its commitment to providing a bespoke banking experience with the launch of ‘Prestige’ for Sri Lanka’s High Net worth (HNW) clientele.
Bringing together the full weight and capabilities of Sri Lanka’s largest private sector bank, the initiative sets a new benchmark in bespoke financial services across the region, the Bank said.
Commercial Bank Prestige delivers a curated ecosystem designed to support clients as they craft their legacy for growth. It brings together bespoke banking and financial services, strategic wealth and investment management, expert advisory services, refined lifestyle privileges and enriching rewards, which together seek to take customers to a new stratosphere in private banking.
Prestige represents a strategic transformation of Commercial Bank’s existing Private Banking brand ‘Elite’ into a structured, three-tiered programme designed specifically around the increasingly complex financial, wealth and lifestyle requirements of the HNW customers.
Anchored by the Bank’s flagship Prestige banking residence at R. G. Senanayake Mawatha, Colombo 07, featuring a refreshed new look, the Prestige Banking experience will also be extended to key economically strategic cities across Sri Lanka to ensure seamless access nationwide, the Bank said.
Moving decisively beyond a conventional private banking proposition, Prestige introduces a distinctive brand experience centred on exclusivity, personalisation and growth, while creating a scalable pathway through which clients can access increasingly sophisticated services as their wealth and banking relationships evolve.
At the zenith of Prestige is the Diamond Tier, reserved for premier HNW clients, supported by the Sapphire and Ruby Tiers. The Bank said the three-tier structure enables it to match privileges and services more closely to each client’s banking relationship and wealth profile, while maintaining the exclusivity expected of a premium proposition.
“Prestige reflects our belief that true leadership in banking is not simply about providing more products or more privileges; it is about understanding the wider ambitions, responsibilities and aspirations that accompany wealth, and having the capability to respond to them with authority,” said Mr Sanath Manatunge, Managing Director/CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon. “We have built Prestige to bring together the strength of a leading bank with a much more considered approach to the entire wealth journey. Our mission is to stand alongside our clients as a trusted partner, giving them the instruments, expertise, and confidence to craft their legacies for growth. It is a significant statement of our intent to shape the future of upscale banking in Sri Lanka, and to earn the confidence of clients who expect their bank to be a trusted partner in the decisions that matter most.”
“We are positioning Prestige not merely as a private banking service, but as a distinctive expression of financial status, authority and confidence, and as a new benchmark for elevated banking in Sri Lanka,” he added.
Prestige is a proposition built on five strategic pillars, creating an integrated experience that extends well beyond the lifestyle privileges and rewards commonly associated with premier banking.
Customers receive dedicated Relationship Management, queue-free branch banking and 24/7 priority hotline routing, alongside privileged rates on loans and deposits. The proposition also introduces specially designed credit and debit card privileges with elevated limits, extended family privileges through Junior and NextGen programmes, and seamless offshore account solutions.
The second pillar, Strategic Wealth and Investment Management, brings a more personalised dimension to the relationship, with thoughtful perspectives and strategies designed to help clients build and protect their legacy. This includes priority entry to capital-protected income solutions, dual-currency investments, direct access to institutional deals, and end-to-end estate and portfolio governance.
Complementing this is Expert Advisory Services, providing direct, one-on-one guidance from senior specialists across personal and business priorities. This extends from dedicated financial advisory to integrated corporate liquidity guidance, as well as practical global relocation assistance covering international real estate and capital repatriation.
The proposition is further enriched by Refined Lifestyle Privileges & Experiences, encompassing curated travel benefits such as VIP airport lounge access and dedicated travel concierge assistance, preferential cross-border transaction rates, on-demand concierge support for property management and medical coordination, access to private art showcases and culinary events, and exclusive partner status upgrades.
The fifth pillar, Enriching Rewards, offers highly competitive reward points on every card transaction, along with bonus points at select partner merchants and the flexibility to convert points into airline miles. This is further complemented by bundled digital streaming subscriptions, customised welcome gifts and curated milestone recognition aligned to lifestyle preferences.
Together, these five pillars are designed to provide Prestige clients with a more complete relationship with their bank, one that encompasses not only day-to-day banking and investment decisions, but also wealth preservation, legacy planning, family interests, business requirements and selected lifestyle needs, the Bank said.
The launch marks a significant evolution in Commercial Bank’s approach to the HNW segment. Rather than positioning Prestige simply as an upgraded banking package, the Bank has created a structured programme intended to establish a deeper and more integrated relationship with HNW customers, while providing a clear pathway for clients to progress through its three tiers as they continue to grow their legacy.
The transformation encompasses not only the proposition itself but also the customer experience across the Bank’s physical and digital touchpoints. Existing Elite clients are being transitioned to Prestige through personalised communication and education on their elevated tier privileges and bespoke benefits, while branches, digital channels and card collateral are being aligned under the unified Prestige visual identity, the Bank said.
