AirAsia Restores Frequencies on the Colombo–Bangkok and Colombo–Kuala Lumpur Routes

AirAsia continues to strengthen connectivity between Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia by restoring frequencies on its Colombo (CMB) – Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Colombo (CMB) – Bangkok (Don Mueang – DMK) routes for the Winter 2026/27 season, from 01 November 2026. The restored schedule provides travellers even greater flexibility and choice when planning their trips.

AirAsia will operate double-daily flights (14 weekly) between Colombo and Kuala Lumpur with Thai AirAsia operating daily flights between Colombo and Bangkok. With the restored frequencies, AirAsia now operates 21 flights a week from Colombo to its hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Travellers can connect seamlessly via Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, Don Mueang to AirAsia’s extensive network of over 130 destinations, including popular holiday spots such as Bali, Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Mai, vibrant cities across Asia including Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Manila, and favourites long haul destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Melbourne and Perth.

The added flights also provide increased accessibility for Malaysian and Thai visitors to Sri Lanka, encouraging exploration of the island’s diverse cultural, historical, and natural attractions—from ancient heritage sites and wellness retreats to scenic hill country escapes and world-renowned beaches.

Tickets are available for booking via your preferred travel agent or through AirAsia’s authorized General Sales Agent in Sri Lanka, Mack Air (Pvt) Ltd – A John Keells Group company.
