Armitage to go to Brussels for Sri Lanka donors meeting

The meeting comes amid a warning from donors to the Sri Lankan government that it risked returning to war if it did not overcome opposition from coalition allies and resume peace talks with Tamil Tiger rebels.

Japan, the United States and the European Union last week said they were "deeply concerned" about President Chandrika Kumaratunga's Marxist ally the People's Liberation Front, or JVP, and its actions against peace efforts.
