Next RIU international investor forum to kick-off in the Maldives

(PRESS RELEASE) - As part of an ongoing and sustained effort to connect Sri Lankan businesses with the global diaspora and with foreign investors looking at investing in Sri Lanka, Research Intelligence Unit (Pvt) Ltd. (RIU) will be hosting its next prestigious RIU Investor Forum 2019 along with the event’s platinum partner-Marina Square by Access Engineering, in the Maldives on the 4th of March 2019 at Hotel Jen, Malé. The forum will be a business networking platform with the focus of expert commentators and the audience being on the current real estate opportunities in Sri Lanka. RIU will be joined in Malé by some leading developers from Sri Lanka such as John Keells Holdings, Capitol Developers by Sanken and Prime Group at the event to assist the audience in further understanding the booming real estate market of Sri Lanka along with providing them with end solutions for their real estate needs. Our event partners are The Big Issue (print media), iTravel (travel partner), and Lanka Exhibitions & Conference Services Pvt LTD. The Maldives has made rapid progress in recent years to become a middle-income country and at present, showcases the highest per-capita GDP in the South Asian region. Consequently, both Maldivian businesses as well as entrepreneurs have been actively engaged in real estate investments in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and many other countries. For most Maldivians, Sri Lanka has been the perennial favourite second home destination. The Maldivian population resident in Colombo is estimated at between 11,000 – 16,000 and over 76,000 Maldivians have already visited Sri Lanka in 2018. The event will be honoured with the presence of members from the political leadership in the Maldives, as well as benefit from industry experts that include Dr. Anil Priyanka Beddevithana (RIU),  Nadeem Shums (John Keells Holdings), Shivanka De Zoysa (Access Engineering), Dishni de Thabrew (Capitol Developers), Shehana Brahmanage (Prime Group)  and Roshan Madawela (RIU). This limited seat seminar will include panel sessions and presentations which will discuss the real estate investment era of Sri Lanka, with a specific focus on the residential market in Colombo, regulations and support system for Maldivian nationals in Sri Lanka and simply demystifying the investment proposition. Interested individuals are requested to kindly RSVP on info@riunit.com to obtain their complementary pass for the event at Hotel Jen on the 4th of March, 2019.
