In light of recent cybersecurity reports emerging from the South Asian region, Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) has issued an urgent advisory urging all public and private sector organizations within the nation to elevate their cybersecurity vigilance and implement necessary precautionary measures.
While Sri Lanka CERT explicitly stated that there is no direct threat to the country at this time, the notification serves as a proactive measure to safeguard the national digital ecosystem. The organization emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and prepared in the face of evolving cyber threats in the surrounding region.
"Considering the current situation prevailing in the South Asian region, it is essential to remain proactive and vigilant to protect our digital ecosystem," Sri Lanka CERT stated in its notice.
