Mar 18, 2011 (LBO) – An education fair in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo will be attended by 11 US higher education institutes also giving prospective students to learn about admissions, financial aid and visa procedures, the US embassy said. The fair which is open to the public, will be held on March 22 and the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel in Colombo from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm, the embassy said.
“Advisors from the Fulbright Commission will be available to counsel all attendees on researching American universities, completing tests and applications, and finding funding to study in the U.S,” the embassy said in a statement.
The embassy said the US is number one destination for foreign students around the world, hosting over half a million undergraduate and graduate students from abroad each year.
The US has over 4,000 institutions of higher learning offering more than 900 programs of study.
