The statement quoted Suntel technical director Mahinda Ramasundara saying “the launch of our fixed wireless network is a key step in meeting our objective to provide world class telecommunication services that facilitate growth and development in Sri Lanka.

“We are poised to revolutionize the telecom market in Sri Lanka by offering over-the-counter, self installable telephones with advanced features to consumers and businesses,” said the technical director.

The statement said fixed wireless networks allow operators like Suntel to deploy superior quality voice and high speed data services quickly and more economically than costly landline network alternatives.
